We've inherited a lot of unhappy agency relationships. Here's the honest guide to ending one cleanly.

When to leave

Three signals: you haven't seen a dashboard in 30 days, the person you hired isn't the person running your account, or you're being billed for strategy and getting execution.

The email

Short. Direct. No blame. 'We're going in a different direction' is fine. You don't owe them a debrief — but a 2-week handover is professional and usually required by your contract.

The handover

Get your logins, your creative assets, your data exports, and your campaign history. In writing. Before the last invoice is paid.
